So I have been inactive for ages now, and I apologize for that. Lately I haven't really been doing much art and I've been really picky about what gets posted and what doesn't. I actually post quite a lot of art on my instagram which is: instagram.com/madamarachne
But anyway, I graduated on June 1st from high school and received my diploma! Those of you who have been following me since I opened this account know that that was one of my main struggles and concerns. I ended up having to repeat my Senior year again, but it was totally okay and ended up being a LOT better than my first Senior year.
So now that I'm finally out of school I'm trying to figure out what to do. I was supposed to be moving temporarily to Mississippi to be my cousin's nanny, however due to health circumstances with my aunt, what was once a definite "yes" to the nanny job is now a "possibly but probably not" type of thing so I'm waiting for a definite answer on that before I do anything. The money from the nanny job was supposed to pay for the cosmetology classes that I want to take so if that doesn't happen I'll have to start applying for jobs and financial aid and all that jazz.
But the plan is that I will take cosmetology classes, get my cosmetology licence and if I decide I don't want makeup to be my career then I'll probably work at ULTA or Sephora or something while I'm taking illustration classes. I may possibly be doing photoshoots too. I have a photographer friend who runs a modeling site that's really been wanting me to model for him, and he even asked me to be a sponsor, so I may or may not take that offer once I get my driver's licence.
And if all of that doesn't work out for me, I figure I can go into fashion consulting or something. So I have a lot of options, just don't really know which one to take first. Lol!
But yes, I am alive and well. Just waiting to take the next step in my life, and a little tentative about it.
